Our Mission

The QBI Companies (Getqbi, LLC and QBI, LLC) is a startup “fintech” company whose mission is to simplify the homebuying process and to serve as a constantly evolving platform to help people achieve the dream of homeownership.  QBI partners with mortgage companies and others to streamline the pre-qualification process and to offer tools to help people become homebuyer-ready.

Don F. Harris

Don F. Harris is the Founder of The QBI Companies (Getqbi, LLC and QBI, LLC).  Mr. Harris is a nationally-recognized social entrepreneur and innovator in the fields of housing and community development.

Don has been recognized as one of America’s leading “Social Entrepreneurs” by Fast Company Magazine, as one of the “25 Most Influential People in Real Estate” by Realtor Magazine and is a recipient of the Oprah Angel Network Award.

In the 1990’s, Mr. Harris created “The Nehemiah Program,” a national downpayment assistance program that assisted thousands of Americans to achieve the dream of homeownership.  He also co-developed one of the first online homeownership education courses and commissioned one the first books written for new homeowners called The New Homeowners’ Handbook.


Kanika Holloway

Chief Relationship Officer

Kanika Holloway, MBA, is the Chief Relationship Officer for The QBI Companies (Getqbi, LLC and QBI, LLC). Kanika brings 24+ years of experience in senior management in the corporate finance, national lending, FMCG and non profit organizational management sectors.

As an entrepreneur, she has a diverse profile of experience in working with clients in the US and European Union. Kanika has directed diversity in business development relationships with HNW/UHNW clientele. In the US, she received regional sales recognition for exceeding over $200+million in closed residential retail lending business. As a California Real Estate Broker, consulted and negotiated multi-million dollar commercial real estate projects.

In the European Union, acted as interim Chief Operations Officer of a high level, creative technology customized change management, coaching and training program centered in employer branding; employee engagement, corporate culture and team building. She has worked closely with managing and strategy directors of several luxury houses in France and Italy.

Kanika is the founder of K.A.K.E., a business improvement process for nonprofit, arts and culture organizations to optimize funding and operations strategies. In her spare time,  Kanika serves on the board of directors of FAWCO, an NGO with special social consultative status to  the United Nations. In this volunteer role she supports and consults representatives of 58 member organizations around the world. She holds a diploma from the international institute of humanitarian law on enhancing diversity skills in international operations and conduct.


Kyle Gantzer


Kyle Gantzer is a systems engineer who specializes in building business processes and sales systems. His background as a full-stack engineer provides a technical foundation to help organizations connect their people to their information systems. 


Kyle's methodology is focused on building systems around people to provide them with the information they require at the moment it's needed. Kyle is a native of San Diego, California.

Laylee Bodaghee

Laylee Bodaghee is a Web & Mobile Applications Developer for QBI, LLC.  Laylee is a Business Entrepreneur and Founder of SKS Creative- an Award-Winning and highly rated Web and Mobile Software Development Company.  For over 15+ years, her experience in Engineering and Design has helped support more than 200 successful businesses and leading enterprises.


Her expertise in web systems, software architecture, human-machine interactions, film, video games, graphic design, and content creation has influenced many different industries. From high fashion accessories worn by influential musicians at B.B. Simon to Top Rated Media and Entertainment Colleges such as Full Sail University and one of the most prestigious and industry-defining video game companies, Valve Corporation.  As a small business owner in Southern California, Laylee has worked with local businesses and start-ups to improve their web presence and maintain sustainability in an ever-changing digital and mobile economy.


She is also an Award-Winning Writer and Director, credited on IMDB.  Laylee holds a Web Design and Development Degree at Full Sail University.

Larry Lee

Larry Lee is President and Publisher of The Observer Media Group (Sacramento, California).


Lee, who has a lifelong career in ethnic media and marketing, inherited an admirable sense of quality, community, commendable work ethic, and dedication to excellence from his parents, the late Dr. William H. Lee and Kathryn C. Lee, founders of the award-winning Sacramento Observer Newspaper.


The Observer celebrates its 59th anniversary in 2021 and has received more than 700 awards for its journalism excellence and community service — including being named the nation’s best Black newspaper six times.


In his role as president and publisher, Lee has taken that bold, creative legacy and applied it to several exciting products that influence, inform and impact the African American audience he serves.


Larry is a graduate of the San Jose State University School of Journalism and Mass Communications and currently serves as a board member of the Local Media Association.


Destinee Dickerson

With a passion for elevating brands, Des Dickerson is the founder of Uncommon Collective, a digital consulting and PR agency. Des has recently been selected as Forbes 30 Under 30 2021 list in the marketing and advertising category. Des studied journalism and mass communication at Arizona State University, and she began her career in TV production, working in casting and producing roles for the “Dr. Phil” show, HGTV, Lifetime, and YouTube TV. Des specializes in digital audience acquisition, including social media strategy, influencer marketing, and public relations. Leading her team, Des helps clients maximize their viewership and increase their brand credibility through strategic storytelling and strategic partnerships that achieve results. Notably, Des has fostered key collaborations with Essence, Forbes, PopSugar and Refinery29, among others, providing her clients the opportunity to expand their reach and generate revenue. Des’ expertise has led her to educate and inspire other entrepreneurs and businesses about digital trends and branding best practice
